I thought I lost Ruby yesterday! I put her on her perch and went out to check the mail and when I came back inside, I didn't see her anywhere! I looked all over the house and still didn't see her. I finally decided that she must have gotten out when I went to the mailbox! I was beside myself! I went out and called and called and called. I finally went to get my car keys, and met my son at the door. She had flown upstairs and was sitting on the shower curtain rod on our bathroom - which I hadn't checked. She apparently went upstairs to look for me when I went outside. Scared me to death!

It was hard to be mad at her because she was just missing me and looking for me. She gave me kisses and cuddles when I found her.

Oh my gosh I know that panic and it is NOT NICE at all! Why is it that they always goes and sit on the ONLY place where we did not check?:D

glad she didn't get out, its worrying when they play hide and seek with us!! xxx

I Sure am glad you found her...

At least she's easier to find than a smaller bird like a senegal. Gracie flew from me when something startled her and went into the next room. I saw her fly in there but it took me like 5 minutes to find her. It turns out she was sitting in a fake plant and her green feathers blended in perfectly! I had been so worried thinking that she may be hurt or stuck behind the couch but she looked perfectly content just sitting there!

But I know that feeling though thinking that you lost her. Glad Ruby was OK!

They are so much like a human child, always looking for mommy
Glad she was found safe and sound. I would go absolutely ballistic.....
I often test Mishka, well play with him. When he is walking in the lounge, I run into the kitchen and call him, then dash into the passage, hide and watch him. He trots into the kitchen, stands there a while, turns around a few times, then starts calling me mom mommy. I do not reply immediately then he gets louder and louder, eventually almost shouting mommmmmmmmy

I guess he is
