I worked late today... and oh my god I wish I had my phone ready when i got home.

I just had a little heart-melting moment here.

I normally get home around 4 or 4:30, but today I didn't get home until 6pm. I feel awful about it, but it happens.

When I walked in the door, I immediately heard very loud flock calls from upstairs. I excitedly yelled back, ran up, changed out of my uniform. I opened Kyo's room door to her bouncing her head up and down, yelling, so excited I thought she was going to fall right off the perch! I've never seen an animal so happy to see me before!

She came right out and first thing she did was snuggle into my hand. Oh. My. Goodness. My heart.

Then after a while, it was like she suddenly remembered to be mad at me for leaving her so long and she started angrily (semi-playfully) nipping my hand, and flew to her window to ignore me for 5 minutes.

She's over it now thankfully for my fingers She really does have me trained well though

It feels so great to feel as much love coming back as I give <3 I am so in love with this little bird and her attitude.

Yup, they sure melt your heart. I often get greeted by Tiki saying baby over and over and making kissy noises while bumping my hand with his beak.

I feel quilty that I love Tiki so much because my tiel was my first birdie love... And yes I love her too, but she doesn't have the in your face attitude that I can't resist.
