Ideal Aviary Size

I am considering having an aviary built for my two ekkies. What is a good size aviary for an eclectus? Nothing too large, but a medium sized aviary dimensions would be good to know.

10' x 10' minimum I would say.... or if you could, 10' x 20'?

My local Costco is selling a dog kennel that is 10x10x6, so I wondered if that would work for them. I think it just might.

Height is an important consideration I've learned. They want to be up high outside.

I've actually been looking into dog kennels too. Make sure that they're powder coated since galvanized wires contain zinc. My only concern about dog kennels is that majority don't have a top (since it's not a concern that dogs will climb over it) if there is a top it's usually made of tarp which won't prevent birds from climbing and chewing their way through. But they are slightly cheaper than aviaries and they come in perfect sizes.

I think the kennels at Costco are powder coated and come with a top... but they'll still require some tweaking to make them bird safe!
