This weekend I'm going to pick up a TAG that I'm adopting. His name is Milo and is 12 years old. He's very tame and friendly and loves flirting with girls.
I am *SO* excited.

Here are a couple pictures of Milo and his "gear" that comes with him. His cage isn't very big, (2x2x5 1/2 feet tall, floor to play-stand top), but I am at home almost all day, every day. He'll have ample out of cage time and I plan to get him something bigger down the road.

If anyone has any "tips", feel free to pass them along. I've done a lot of reading and self-education, but I'm sure there's plenty more to know! :)

He is sooo soooooooo cute congrats!! :) & His tree is awesome!

Soooooo happy for you! There's lots of new Grey Moms now! :)

Congrats !!! I agree, that tree is pretty awesome. Greys are fun, enjoy your new baby.

Congrats on your new Grey baby as well, from one of the other new Grey moms!

Yes, I want the tree! I thought here I was finally going to get a nice tree stand out of a dead Mulberry I have, but it's been attacked by powder post beetles:54: Back to the drawing board on that one. I have a nice PVC Parrot Tower, but I really, really wanted a natural tree.

The cage may be ok for him. They don't seem like they do a lot of climbing or swinging. She wants to root around on the floor, and when she's out of the cage, she also wants to be on the floor. That may just be Merlin though.

I think she would actually like a little table top stand that she can just sit on to be with me in the kitchen and bathroom. As long as there is something shreddable on it, she would be happy.

I have a TAG named Rosie and she is so so sweet. Never gives me any problems. Happy for you to be getting one. If you read back on the forum about greys you will find lots of suggestions and tips.

Yay more greys!

Honestly I have to agree with roxynoodle. Kevin's cage isnt as large as I would like (I drive a smart car, I need to find a cage I like that DELIVERS ;) ) but he doesnt do much with it. He plays with his toys but mostly plays on the floor of the cage. I know babies are more prone to do that, but he doesnt seem likely to grow out of it. He likes the carpet too, he's just not allowed down there lest the monsters....er dachshunds play too rough.

Merlin is 21, so definitely not a baby anymore. Right now she is a little scared since the blower came on on the wood stove. Rowdy is very used to it, of course, and Pete had one in his former owner's house, but I think Merlin is not used to one. Poor baby has a lot of things to get used to in her new home.

She really, really likes the cat though. Pete doesn't care much for the cat, and Rowdy and her are buds.

How exciting~ I always wanted a grey!

Well, I found out today there are reasons why Merlin stays in the bottom of her cage: she is almost completely blind. It definitely explains a lot. I need to take care to not move quickly and to let her know where I am and where I'm going. Of course I have no way of telling Pete not to jump around so much. She may not be certain what he is. All she knows is she sees some shadowy thing jumping around, laughing and yelling at her. It also explains why she wants to kiss the cat instead of chase it away. She may not know it's a cat.
