I'm new here

Hi everyone! I have a Scarlet Macaw named Tara that I've had for 24 yrs. She's my child & quite spoiled, and we love her dearly.
She's been a feather picker since she was little (long story).
I have lupus, so I stay home a lot with my pets. I do some dog grooming at people's homes when I'm feeling good.
I'm liking forward to being a part of this group & learning new things.

Welcome to the forum! That's wonderful to hear you've had Tara for so long Kind of a rarity for those really big birds to be in the same home since they were young. We'd love to see some pics of her even if she is a plucker Hope you can learn some new things!

Welcome Leslie! What a good friend Tara must be to you after all those years. I've had my little guy (red bellied parrot) for 20, and it's a wonderful feeling knowing them so well for so long. Scarlets are beautiful, plucked or not
