Inteoducing two birds?

I got my first parrot, an 8 year old Umbrella Cockatoo called Teddy, just over 6 months ago. He was a rescue, so I know very little about his past. I am planning to foster a young (1-2 years) male Rose-Breasted Cockatoo soon, and am wondering how to introduce the two. It is very important to me that both are safe, but we know very little about their pasts, so it is difficult to know how either will react to another bird. As Teddy was my first bird, I have never introduced birds before, any advice?
