Introducing Cheney

Awwww...such a beautiful baby! Looks like Cheney is going to be very very happy with your family.

My uncle had an African Grey, his cage was suspended from the ceiling in the house, that bird would hang upside down in his cage from the roof and get it swinging and I mean really swinging, and when it was swinging really good he would holler out...ROCK AND ROLL! ROCK AND ROLL!

I was quite young, and I wonder now how he kept the water from spilling out everywhere....hmmmmm...I think maybe he was only in his cage for that time that all the family was there for our reunion. I remember seeing a really large play gym as well and I'm betting his bird spent most of his time on that. Anyway, I spent nearly the entire time in the room with the bird, talking his ear off and watching him swing and say ROCK and ROLL!

I knew then...SOMEDAY...I just HAD to have a bird!

Ty, Toni! I've always been attracted to the big birds. When I was a kid I would save up my allowance and buy fish. When I was about 14 I bought a parakeet and its start up cage kit. When I was 15 my parents got me a cockatiel for my birthday because I begged for like a year. His name was Kismet and he HATED me, but loved my mom so he just became her bird lol.

Awesome story about Rock and Roll! I can't wait til Cheney does something funny/crazy!

I talked to my breeder yesterday. She says Cheney is starting to refuse hand feedings and should be totally weaned in a week or two. Right on schedule. Still dancing around impatiently,lol.

Handsome! I am the owner of a baby grey as well. I find her to be harder to entertain then my amazon. Like having a toddler all over again, and I love it!

Oh no, as beautiful as they are, I couldn't keep up w/a bird that was harder to entertain than my amazon. lol :11:
