AWE, THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR UR KIND & EXCITING WORDS! This is the first photo I've really posted on the forum, and I quickly learned it is very fun to share our love of parrots & their beauty with others here! I have other beautiful photos I can share as well, & look forward to doing so for everyone to enjoy!

oh my gosh she is gorgeous great pic! I love MM2s!

Great looking MM2!!! i just adopted a Moluccan, and its one of the most fun companions I have had the pleasure of having. Once I build my aviary (when I finally move back to SC) i plan on getting a MM2, and a Hyacinth once I sell off one of my cars :P Thanks for the photo!!!

What a pretty girl! Thanks for sharing her picture.

I always find them to be so pretty, they're more rare to find in my area, also very expensive!

Your baby is gorgeous!!! :)

Mike TN, thank you! I'm the same way. My entire life she's been my dream bird & took me that long to get her! ! They are very rare and expensive where I am as well! I live on the Maryland/Pennsylvania Mason Dixon Border here in the US as well. I'm overjoyed to have her & to have such a special close relationship with her! Thanks so much for looking at her photo & ur kind words!!

Wow what an awesome pic. Bella is such a cutie. I currently have a flock of sulphur crested cockatoos flying over the house and my Alex is going nuts. She thinks she is one of them. :)

I've heard that the major mitchells can be difficult cockatoo and often high strung and nippy. My local parrot store has one as a pet and he definitely prefers men over women! But he's gorgeous and a hoot!

You'll have to tell us what it's like living with one! ;) Bella is gorgeous!

Bella is lovely. They are one of my favourite parrots. We never see them here. We see the odd King. And few Black fly over if its going to storm.

Bella is quite the exotic beauty! That crest is breathtaking. What's Bella's personality like and how old is she?

Beautiful Major Mitchell, Marcy. They're my favourite cockatoo, and no exactly cheap even here in Oz. Where I lived over east until Feb, there were 3-4 pairs that bred around town, they'd sometimes come into the tree in my backyard or at the office (which was on 7 acres, with some acacia trees which many parrots love the pods of). I've also seen them in the wild on the Nullabor Plain including most recently in February as we crossed to come over to the West again.

A friendly acquaintance who we got several birds off on my last town (mentioned above) had a couple of pairs of MMs I must email him to see if any actually bred. Last summer he handraised 4 chicks for a friend of his so I got to see the babies close up.

I see an Alex in here and you have Bella- we have a female eccy called thus (not tame). I doubt a MM would fit into our zoo, now, as we'd be unable to give it close, one-on-one attention.

Once again, a simply beautiful bird, Marcy.

That's why I wanted to visit Australia so badly is to see all the birds in their natural habitat. One day.....
