Introducing my gcc to my bfa

How can I introduce my gcc to my bfa? I know I have to do it slowly and they might never be able to like each other. I don't ever know of I should because my bfa is so much bigger. Does anyone have experience in this?

Hm.. I'm interested in this too. I'm thinking of adopting a Blue crowned and introduce him/her to Mango. I'm not very informed on it, but what I have been told is the more gradual, the better. The biggest thing is about a month or so of isolation, kept in separate parts of the houses, and they learn to get to know each other through scent's, and it helps stop the spread of disease. Then you put the cages in the same room during the day for a couple of days, then 24/hours in the same room, then letting them out of their cages together and then eventually setting both of them in a large, neutral (no territorial issues) area of the house (like the kitchen or something) and then supervise them closely. You should be able to pick up aggression immediately too if you know your birds! The key I suppose is to just go slowly.

Just remember when you introduce birds of different sizes your taking a risk. Just be real careful and watchful if you're going to introduce them together. Is you GCC able to fly? That would be a good thing if he's able to fly off if he needs to.

Personally I wouldn't do it. One bite from that powerful beak could be lethal for your little GCC.

I have a pineapple GCC and two duskies which I never have out at the same time that my bigger birds are out. Even my duskies' rough and tumble ways are too much for my little pineapple baby. Have to watch them like a hawk!

Ok thanks. My gcc is fully flighted so she flys everywhere around the house. I hate having her locked up because she screams until I let her out and she is used to be out all the time. My bfa hates his cage though and also wants out but his wings are clipped and he just sits on his stand most of the time. My gcc is scared of the stand so she doesn't go near it.
