Introducing myself

My name is Thelma. I'm from the UK and I've just given a home to a lovely CAG named Coco. She is 12 years old. Her feathers are a bit tatty but she seems very happy. She sings and talks all day. She has been in a small cage for years with no out time. I have put her in a much bigger cage now. She didn't like it at first but after a day she seems to love it. I would really like for her to be out of the cage as much as possible but she isn't very friendly. She sometimes let's me tickle her through the bars but will bite hard if I try to get her to step up. I am home all day and spen loads of time trying to bond with her. Hope to pick up loads of tips from you guys.
