Hi,
I find myself owned by 2 parrots after never having been a "bird person"! I acquired my first Grey "Richard" when my boyfriend moved in. It took Richard 2 days to decide I was the love of his life - He has only just begun to tolerate my boyfriend (who hand fed him from young) and displays terribly jealous and possessive tendancies where I am concerned. A friend of mine was looking for a home for "Lucy", her female and we decided to introduce them. They are in separate cages which are placed together and have been "beaking"(?) each other regularly thru the sides and I have been letting them out together. and they appear to interact well when outside of the cages but if I leave the cages open Richard will go into Lucy's cage and peck at her. She has not responded by pecking back but rather removes herself from the situation.
I suspect that something I am doing i causing jealousy on Richards part. can someone offer some advice as to how I go about stoppin Richards bullying? or do I need to keep them separate permanently?
Thanks.
