For the past five months I have been desperately trying to hand tame my IRN, Chief. Nothing seems to be working and I have hit a massive plateau. He will happily take millet from my hand (only through the bars) if he's in the mood but otherwise? Be it a perch or a hand he is extremely fearful of anything that comes near him.
Any suggestions as to where to go from here? I've been trying to get him used to a perch I'm holding and invite him onto my other hand to reach the one that feeda him but he just flies up to the far corner of his cage and stares at me.
