So is it possible to tame a cockateil by grabbing it with a glove is it is well darn cuz my mom friend told me it can be possible she did it with her bird and she even show me her bird and the glove and the bird was tame odd? What do you guys think

Birds become tame when shown love and given time to trust you. I don't think what you describe is the way I would go about taming a bird, as it could scare the bird and cause it to really dislike you.

I noticed if the cockatiel have been with you for awhile, it's actually easier to work with them to train. I guess they just get used to you being around after so long. I do not use gloves to train cockatiels!

There is a difference between being tame because you love your human flock member and want to please them and being tame because you have no other choice. Grabbing a bird with a glove shows them that they either do what you say when first asked or they get forced with a glove. This will technically tame them as they don't want to get the glove, but it won't make for the best long term relationship. Better to save those methods for emergencies when you NEED to get the bird to do something and don't have the option of working more patiently.

Don't worry about the lost feathers...a bird's feathers are designed to release & come out easily because they are prey animals and their feathers slipping out easily gives them a chance to escape.....
