I have 4 month old male Ecky who resides in a large cage. I have recently acquired a female Ecky, 50 days old, still on around 4 feeds a day. She is coming along nicely, feathering up and gaining around 30-50g a week. Today I took her out of her enclosed, heated box, and popped her in a little budgie cage next to her soon to be partner. In the beginning she seemed a bit weary but is now happily snoozing with her head back :) My question is, should she be left in her enclosure, or is it fine to have her "out in the world"?

Congrats with the little one
Your female Ecky must be placed in quarantine for at least 30 days
Which means that the birds should be put in separate cages in different rooms.
Have you taken the new little baby to the vet yet?
Very important knowing you have a healthy bird.

As Antoinette has said vet check first if all comes back fine then it is fine having her out for a few hours getting cuddles.
