Hi all not been on in a while been ill slowly getting better, I've had my kiwi for a year now she is slowly getting used to us still very hand scared I've tried giving her treats but it's slow going but I'm patient and will wait as long as she needs I have been letting things go at her pace which she seems to prefer. My husband Mike reckons she likes me best as when it's just me and her she's more chatty and willing to flying around the room and explore. (which he sulks about as we got kiwi for him) she came from a abusive home so we are giving her as long as she needs. I have a few questions sorry about pictures quality it's as close as I could get. Can anyone judge how old she may be when we got her we were told she was probably 6months we have had her about 13 months I have noticed a slight red ring on her neck but it only on one side. Also do you think she is molting these past few days she has been loosing quite a few feathers she isn't pulling them out herself. And lastly is her beak OK it's not to long is it? She is eating fine and is generally healthy. Thank you for any help and advice in advance 😊

Yes it’s molting season for IRNs, prepare for her to look TERRIBLE. Then in a few weeks she will look brand new. Her beak looks fine :) is she DNA sexed? If she is a boy she may be getting a ring but I can’t tell from the picture since hens get “hen rings”
