Is my lovebird okay?

Hello,

I recently bought a pair of lovebirds, they are sisters and I was told they were already bonded as a pair. They have settled in well but I’ve noticed that they do have some arguments and sometimes stand on each other - I’m not sure if they’re just playing?

I’m concerned as I have noticed a change in the feathers on the one lovebirds head, they look more messy and some white feathers have appeared - I’m worried that she’s maybe been aggressively pecked? I’ve attached some before and after photos for reference.

They are only two months old and I want them to be as happy and healthy as possible, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about the feathers - they are pin feathers - new-growing ones. My first thought about the standing was mating but I'm not sure if this is possible in this age

Was unaware that Lovebirds has such vast variation in color within a single batch.

Welcome to the forum. Pretty babies!
You will need to add some wider perches, and perches of different types. Dowels are hard on their feet, most of us just throw them away. Also it's better to have a bunch of shorter perches so they can jump to a bunch of different perches staggered around, then having one long one. They better use the cage that way.
I think you might need to save up for a larger cage, parrots need much more space than the average pet store cages that are sold. You can find great ones on Amazon for around a hundred bucks. Aim for 32 inches in length. Also you can make lots of toys yourself from shredded paper, cut card board. And start offering them a bunch of different veggies, and leafy greens.
