Hello, I have a 19 year old boy named Noah. He started with the black around his eye expanding but the vet wasn't concerned about it. The last few months it has turned to what you see in the pictures. He used to take his foot and run his eye but does not do that anymore. This other eye has never had a problem. I'm looking for a new vet now. Any ideas on this? Thanks so much.

Definatly not symetrical. I'd worry a bit too.

Any other thread I'd say it was in a fight and it got a bit of of pay back and wouldn't worry, but if it lives alone....that I'd worry about and try a different Avian vet.

Thank you. Yes he is an only bird as my cockatiel died a couple of months ago at 21. He screams more now as I believe he misses him.

Clearly needs an Avian Vet involved and likely get a reference to an Eye Specialist. Kind of has an infected look to it, which could have been brought in by his foot nail.

Sorry for your loss!

I agree. Take him to a different avian vet and get a second opinion.

Well, this vet fixed him. He has allergies. Antibiotic and nasal drops which was a long two weeks. Now I have worse problems with aggressive behavior which I will do a separate post.

Likely should stay with this Thread as the aggressive behavior is and extension of providing the medication. but your choice!
