It's not the moon, but close enough

LOL at least carrots and green beans aren't as risky as finger held peas. He WAS eating peas from his dish. I don't know why he changed his mind about that.

Yeah! Good boy, Ollie! Now you need to hand feed him green beans AND carrots! But you have nothing better to do, right?
He has actually progressed with green beans and eats them if they are stuck in a particular toy. That was a HUGE breakthrough.

Salty will eat matchstick carrots. If I hang a whole carrot up, he destroys it with a 1000 bites, but eats none of it. Sees it as a nice crunchy toy.

My Joey thinks cheese peanut butter crackers are crunchy bird toys! Here she is destroying one we left on the table. I know- its bad for her, but she doesn’t eat much of it. She holds it down with her feet and chews on it quickly until it's a pile of crumbs.

I started Ollie on pellets two days ago. So far so good. He's made contact and figured out they are fun to throw in the water dish and on the cage floor. I'm very hopeful. I thought he would ignore them completely.

This just happened. I mixed mashed pellets with his seeds for the first time. It's at least 50% pellets. I can't believe he's taken to it so quickly. I wish I had tried it earlier.

Now he's sitting there like a fat blueberry who ate too much Christmas turkey.
