i've adopted a galah!!!!!!!!

well i've been back and forth at the bird rescue helping out and fell in love with rocky. he's 4 years old and is overweight. he has been fed on sunflower seeds and water his life so far, he has a fatty lump by his eye and probably a liver condition. he's sooo sweet though and very friendly. he's on a diet (he's so heavy) bless! x

oh he is adorable isn't he? He may be overweight, but my girlfriend's Cody (red lored Amazon) was more obviosly overweight than he is... There's a reason Cody got the nick name "the fat green chicken" I'm sure some diet and exercise will get that ball of cute back into shape in no time

i just gave him some fresh fruit and veggies, he just looked at them, he did pick at the rocket though. i know birds are hungriest in the morning so i've removed the pellets and left fresh stuff in there for a while x

thanks von, i just gave him a good spray bath, his previous owner smokes and his feathers smell! he loved the bath, he's now sat preening....sooo cute! x

he's upstairs at the mo away from the others, but there is space in the bird room for another cage! i've ordered a java tree too for them all to play on (it'll be my xmas tree)!! x
