I wish I had the nerve to teach my birds to free fly - I'm such a chicken. Our breeder has 5 macaws that she free flies - 4 red-fronts and 1 scarlet. She also was the breeder of an RFM who free flies in Central Park! Here's a link to the whole story. Good luck with your training.
