Just a short story..

...My town has it's own social media page..I don't do Face Book or Twitter or any of that stuff. The Town posts stuff about upcoming events,construction,and crap like that and has a comment section. My friend Chris visits the page from time to time. I was visiting Chris and her hubby John the other day and she told me about a post she saw. Someone had posted a comment saying "Hey?..have you seen the guy driving around town with the PARROT on his shoulder??" I'm pretty sure they were referring to Amy and I,as we were out and about last weekend :09: I thought that was pretty funny!

I've had this happen to me.

We keep getting posted on Instagram, then one of our friends shares it with us.

Or once we showed up at a festival, and someone tapped my shoulder, asking if I live in x neighbourhood, then showed me their friend's video of Cairo and me cycling around!

Now when we sit at the Starbucks near the park we always fly at, people pass by and tell their surprised friends, "Oh, yeah, they're here every weekend."

No privacy, I tell ya!

If not for our Parrots!
Was caught-up in one of those large road checks that the police use from time to time when they are looking for someone. Julio was very interested in the total event since most highway travel is at speed. Anyway, our turn came up and prior to the Officer making her statement, Julio jumped in first with a big HELLO! Clearly made her day as Julio got a big smile and all the attention.

If not for our Parrots, we would just be part of the masses passing by!

A few years back when we were headed out to visit Al and Geri and Salty we had to pay the Gate Keeper at the Throgs Neck Bridge. The guy looked in my window and said "Oh,you have a parrot on your shoulder! Hi Bird!" and on cue Amy says "HELLO!"..the guys eyes got as big as half-dollars and laughed so loud and said "You just made my day..no,make that my month!" The things our fids do lol.
