Hi there! I've been welcomed already by some of you, so I know most know I'm new. I'm also new to owning a conure, but I'm already head over heels in love with my 3 month old green cheek and it's only been about a day and a half.

I've noticed Mika napping, or what seems to be napping on Her/His perch off and on. Just wondering if this is normal. I know my cockatiel when she was still alive would nap or have 'quiet time' but wasn't sure if this was something conures do as well. It seems to be just short, maybe 5-10 minutes max.

My conures take short naps too, it's normal.
They are such easy guys to fall in love with:)

Oh good! I didn't think it was anything to worry about but I just wanted to be sure. I know technically Mika is a baby so will probably need a lot of sleep if anything like my nieces and nephews. Definitely has brightened up the house though!

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, she's standing on one foot too, Chloe, my cockatiel, never did that when I had her, so I guess I can add that to my "is this normal" list.

Holding up a foot is perfectly normal and a sign she's comfortable. I don't know if you've heard Mika grinding her beak but if you do, it's a sweet sign of contentment.

Good to know! I just heard her/him doing that today. I let Mika out right after I got home from work, I think this is the longest she (everyone has been referring to her as a she for some reason, we don't actually know) at one time. Seems to be enjoying it. Finally coming to me, so far my head makes a great perch!
