Just got my new & first lovebird. Curious about which colour mutation he/she is

So I just got my new lovebird, when we got him we were surprised about his colour, we expected a green with red face lovebird, but we got this instead.

He is still a cutie so I am happy, but I am curious about what colour mutation he is, I think he is a Slate, but I am not sure. I can't ask the breeder because the way we got him was from asking a pet store to order him, so they sent them a random bird (I know, not the best decision but it was the ONLY way to get a parrot where I live).

Also any tips on helping to tame him would be great, since I can tell he was never handled before being sent, he didn't even eat millet until I showed him a video of birds eating it, then he finally ate it and became 10x happier, he is still scared of my hand though since I have only had him for 4 days. Thanks for any help.

It's a peach face slate.
It's a peach face, but the mutation of peach face is Slate.

Give him time, the more you interact with him the better. He will trust you soon.

I'm not sure about slates, but each moult the colours tend to come through a little stronger.

I have found some lovebirds (not hand raised ones) dont like hands but are happy enough to land on your head or shoulder. So just let it fly around you when you are reading etc and stay nice and still, and he might come to you. But try not to reach for him unless you are passing a treat.

My Doc looks just like except as he is getting older, his face is turning a light peach colour. I love his colour! I thought it was very unique and I was actually sad when the peach started coming in. But the rest of him is still that cool green colour.
