I was just in the other room and my Gcc is in the den playing on the mantle on top of a picture.....IN a few minutes I hear Forrest saying "I love you, I love you, I love you" over and over and over......that is his flock call so I finally go into the den, .........well when I go back into the den he has knocked the picture frame over and he is dancing all over that area of the mantle still saying "I love you" over and over which interpreted means "mama I screwed up". I couldn't help but laugh he looked like a nervous child doing the tee tee dance saying I'm sorry. I can't believe they can be such a hoot. You know what they are thinking even when they speak BIRD. LOL

Thanks for sharing this, it made me laugh when I read this. I wish everyone on this forum could have a chance to meet other conures. These stories crack me up, and then I think of Mave and his antics and it only gets better :D. I can't wait for my animals to all settle (aside from Mave who seems right at home anywhere he is) so I can start to interact more with Mave. Oddly enough, the cat doesn't care about the bird AT ALL, it's the jealous half dog half puppy I own that is like what IS that thing and why do I catch you talking to it? Haha, animals are so funny, definitely the spice to life!

Well last night he did something else. He say me give the dog a chewstick and he decided he wanted it. He came to my lap, looked down at the floor where the dog was chewing her stick, jumped down and started charging toward her, (Patty pretty much ignores Forrest), I picked him up, he went down the 3 rd time determined to have her stick. Walked within 6 inches of her and of course the dog gave her a warning bark, and kept chewing. The funny thing was, Forrest didn't even flinch and stood his ground. Finally had to keep him entertained until the dog finished. Conures have absolutely no fear and this is a fairly good sized dog.
