Kali update ***pic heavy***

Kali has settled into her new home well. She spends the whole day with me and gets the finest cuisine and entertainment.... even though she would rather eat my tv or phone. I have designed tons of new toys for her.
She is completely harness trained and loves to go for long walks/drives.
I took her to the river the other day and she LOVED it. There were ducks, seagulls, owls, and hawks. Kali decided to sound the alarm when she saw the birds... I bet those poor river birds were like wth is that! Lol.

I am having some trouble making her understand that she needs to have her own time but it is hard to get her away. If I go for the step up while she is in bed with me... she will instead flip over and try to hide her feet.

I love her so much and I really have no complaints. She adjust to what training is being done.

So glad to hear Kali is doing well! She is really stunning, I love her orange. It's great your getting her out and about from a young age. Such a great thing for a parrot to "see the world"

She is totally rotten and just wants me to cuddle her or twist her new feathers coming in. She gets more and more beautiful everyday. I wish I could take her into stores with me but the only stores are disease infested..so nooo!
She is turning into a lovely young macaw. I look forward to exploring and developing our relationship.

Btw the sneezing is over after a week of antibiotics and an expensive air purifier.

Your baby is adorable! I'm glad she's doing so well. I'd definitely teach her to play by herself now or you're going to have problems down the road. It's hard to enforce when they are so sweet and cuddly. I know from experience! ;-)

I'm glad to hear she's doing well. It sounds like she's treated like a queen. I'll bet she's a very happy bird.

I agree that you should teach her independent play while she's young. It's wonderful you have so much time to spend with her, but she needs to know how to entertain herself in case that changes in the future.

Kali is an amazing girl and I am so impressed with her progress. She is the most loving bird I have ever been around! I make her stay in the cage around 4 hours a day and she occupies herself but she loves being out on her stand and flying around the house.

I was curious what opinions anyone had on the diet I am feeding her.
I make a bulk chop and freeze it.
Ingredients:
4 squash
1 beet
1 cup of beans
1/2 cup of quinoa
1/2 cup of brown rice
1 bag of habenero peppers (she loves spicy)
3 bell peppers
Fresh string beans
5 carrots
1 large cooked sweet potato
2 large broccoli
I chop the ingredients pretty fine:

Every day I give her about a half cup of the chop and then I add 1/2 tsp of red palm oil, about 1/2 cup of fruits, a few berries, some oats, some greens, and cinnamon.

She also gets her zupreem natural pellets and 5 to 10 whole mixed nuts.

Her weight is 870g

Haha, I see Kali likes paper ghosts. PB loves them too. Only Kali is special and gets yellow and green colored ghosts. I'm also guessing the treats inside are larger.
