So, my normal "wake-up" routine with Kiwi is to pull back his covers a bit and coax him out of his little hut by talking to him and making kissy sounds. He acted like he does every other morning, started coming over to give kisses, and instead of a kiss, he grabbed hold of my nose instead! I'm not sure what misfired in his pea-brain, because he wasn't looking aggressive and nothing was out of the norm. Must be the dang hormones (it is that time of year after all). Once I had cleaned it up a bit, I showed him what he had done. I think he knew he had done wrong, because my hubby says he has been extra mellow today and now that I'm home, he keeps offering me lots of "make-up" kisses and making those super adorable "babble" noises I just can't resist.
Almost every customer I helped today at work asked what happened to my nose, and when I explained my bird bit it, the resounding reply was "are you having a roast parrot tonight then?" I had to chuckle a bit, because right now I do want to roast the little turd:09: I got a pic when it happened, and now that it's healing up a bit (thankfully it isn't the worst bite I've ever got, but is probably the most visable).
