Soooo.... I went a *tad* insane in relining Kiwi's carrier, and now it is beyond awesome for my boy. He will be riding in (adorable) style :D I did decide to go with a little more soothing fabric than I was initially thinking, and kind of use a "happy camper" theme. If anyone remembers that MTV show "Pimp my ride", ya, this is like the version for parrots;). He seemed really curious with the new interior. He is sitting in his carrier right next to me on the couch right now. Anyways, here it is....

SPECTACULAR!!!! I'm actually speechless! WOW WOW WOWOW!!!!!

STUNNING, super creative and EXTRA sharp looking! Yup, you totally pimped his ride! :D :D

OMG! That is too cute! If I would love to treat Aleta to "Pimp my ride" Parrot style! You did such a wonderful job!

Yup, Kiwi has a pimped out backpack to ride in now. And every last stitch was by hand because there was simply no way I could use my machine for this one. That's why it took me 3 days. If nothing else, I think Kiwi feels the love:D

Wait.. You did that by hand?! :11: I'm completely in awe. You bet Kiwi feels loved! I know I would!

What a spoiled little guy! Amazing job on his carrier!

WOWWWWWW!!!! That's amazing!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the little camping appliqué and even his name!!!! How precious!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

and who's a momma's boy?? Now, if you can only stitch his beak shut to make sure he doesn't chew off those adorable stars spelling out his name. I think he felt the love long before he saw his new carrier :)

That turned out awesome! Are you going to send pics back to the company?

@Jenny- He best not target the appliqué in his carrier:eek: Especially since he never goes after any other type of fabric... His little sleeping hut I made before we brought him home is actually starting to wear out from WASHING it so many times, he's never touched it.

He's taking a little nap in there right now;). Apparently the little stars and blue dot fabric his sleeping hut is made of proved too much to resist a nice little nap:D

I actually never thought of doing that. I wonder if they would think it was a cool idea and take some inspiration from it, or if they would find it offensive because I basically bought it then relined it straight out of the box because it was outright dreary inside. Hmmm....

I was thinking they would like it, but I didn't think about it the other way, double hmmm...

WOW! That turned out amazing!!! No wonder Kiwi loves it, you will be lucky is he ever wants to leave it!

Oh that is the sweetiest thing I ever seen ! I want one now for my birds :) Kiwi looks soooo happy with his new carrier

I think they should hire you [and have Kiwi become a bird model :)]

That is one slick job! I just love the appliqué, especially the happy camper one with Kiwi sticking out the window! It's gorgeous! Oh, and I'd just like to compliment you on your perfect blanket-stitching: ten out of ten for that! :)

Kiwi is a very lucky bird and he looks like he knows it. Beautiful appliqués with so much love sewn in. Excellent job.

Like everyone else thought... WOW!!!!!!! That is some really nicely done work Kiwibird. Not only nicely done, but the creativity of it definitely gets a gold star! :)

I liked KimKim's idea of showing it to the carrier company, but then like you said, you don't know which way they'd take it. They should find it a compliment, and commission you to do custom jobs :)
