Hi all. I would like to hear from those of you who are more learned than I with conures. I've had many other birds but only one conure and am new to these great birds.
Now, I have one bird, a cinnamon green cheek, that we all love named Peep. He is just a year old and adjusted famously. I have him out several hours a day, even on busy days I'm up very early and have him out to play. Anyway, I do think multiple birds (two in my case) do better as there are several hours a day when Peep is alone. I am studying now and am leaning towards a crimson bellied conure as our second bird. Of course they would have separate cages but I think being nearby and chattering to one another during the day would be ideal. Of course if they bonded in time, I wouldn't be opposed to them being in the same cage but I don't see Peep sharing a cage. He's such a grinch around his cage.
Thoughts?
