Lavada is a Queen of Bavaria Conure that went missing, I think about 2 weeks ago. Her owner Chad, is mentally, and physically exhausted after putting up so many lost bird signs. Please if anybody could just take a moment to go to HELP my bird Lavada Is gone! (Illinois) and tell him that your thoughts and prayers are with him, and he needs some sleep. He really needs it, She flew away after chad was moving furniture into his house. He thought he had latched the door on her cage, but didn't, and she flew out. Even if someone is in the Steger, Illinois area, please contact him if you can to possibly help him look for her or help put up signs. Thank you everyone!:green2:

Oh no! Someone please pass on this site to the owner of the missing bird. Bird HotLine — World Wide Bird Lost and Found

It's a place to post info about lost and found birds. It might be worth posting about the lost bird, and searching through the found posts to see if anyone has found him.

Does the bird have a ring with identifying characters on it or a microchip at all? Both can be useful if the bird ends up at a vets/shelter.

First thing is to get out and look for the bird. Post flyers everywhere. Put ads in the local papers. Make sure to call all vets, pet stores and rescue shelters in the area and also provide them with a flyer. If someone finds a bird and doesnt want to care for it they will take it to one of those three. On the other hand if they find the bird and want to keep it, they will have to go to a pet store to get supplies for it, in which case they will see the flyer and HOPEFULLY return the bird. (So many people just keep lost birds instead of making an effort to find the owner) Leave a description of the bird along with anything that can be used to I.D him at all three of these places.

Beyond that, their is not much more you can do. ):

She does not have a microchip. He has posted flyers all over town in every vet office, and an ad in the newspaper. I will tell him about the site!

Thankyou for doing that, I don't have an account on the other forum as of yet :) I hope he gets her home! Give him our best, I couldn't imagine what I would do if I lost my Alex.

Here's hoping she comes home safe and sound asap! :)
