finally i have a day off, after 8 days on the trot, including overtime, due to staff leaving, sickness an annual leave (who'd have thought working in assisting the elderly was so hard???)

anyway last night after putting the nut to bed, a little later then normal, as i was hoping for a lay in today, me an son watched a dvd, while man went to the pub.

sunday morning i hear the usual cute little chirp from nut, and when i looked at phone it was 9:30 am!! :11::D

so as a treat i do a fry up, nut is left out of her cage, and apart from running off with a slice of the son's bacon, she's been really well behaved, sitting on top of her sleep cage. waiting for morsels of cooked breakfast to be passed to her :32: the occassional bit off a greasy fry up aint gonna hurt her.

after breakfast she comes onto me then my man for her head rub, and when man puts her on top of her main cage, she waddles in, herself! what a good birdie :21:

well i am about to start my laundry, then prep my sunday roast,

today we are having roast pork, with
pine nut stuffing
brocoli and carrots
cream mash
gravy and apple sauce
yorkshire puddings
:32::32::32:
oh an crackling if i get it right!

man is currently cutting the grass, son is lurkin hoping not to be asked to help out :09: and the nut is watching events unfold through front room window

lazy sundays, how will you be spending yours???

I'm going to take a book & sit in the herb garden. I'm indoors all week w/work & don't wont to waste a moment. Only drawback, Merlin can't go w/me. :( I will bring him onto the deck for an hour or so, I'm afraid we won't get alot of good weather to let him outside. I may go to my brothers & borrow his pressure washer, Merlins cage has rust stains on the slats & I'm hoping it will bring it off. We made a big pot of chili last night, so no cooking. :)

My hubby has been kind of crafty this weekend, I'm trying to get him to make a playstand for our prince. He's making a feeder for the morning doves, I think he should take care of Merlins needs first. :D We'll see.

well sat with a GU brownie as a treat to self as i've finished prep on roast dinner, and cut back the hedge!! wash load in tumbler as its started to rain grrr mr weather man!!!

Yes, its supposed to be sunny here, hi of 78 F, but so far its a little gloomy. I got up about 9pm last night & made rice crispy treats, so good. So we have food & junk food for the day.
