I still have not built a perch which is to sit upon the banister so that Liang Zai can gaze upon hisubjects.
Buthe Scotch transparentape causes him not to again alight on the banister where I strung the tape. (A 14-inch area where the perch will be located is free of tape. He notices and still lands there.)
The tape is also on our three-lamp light above the kitchen table.
We use a 1 cm length of tape to afix a single sheet of toilet paper hanging down against one of bell-shaped lamp shades. Liang Zai perches on the lamp arm over the lamp and the paper catches droppings and is easily, cheaply replaced.
The tape on the two unprotected lamp arms keeps him for perching on them.
