Welcome to the forum! Would love to see pictures of your birds as I have not heard of this type. Sorry to hear about the mice, uugghh its that time of year when they move in. Sorry I dont have any good advice. Good luck, and again welcome! Hey, if you dont get many responses maybe try a new thread with a title that has something like "help with mouse problem" that might generate more traffic from people that can help. :)

The easiest solution would be to seal off your bird room to keep the mice from coming in and trap the ones that are already there. We use humane traps here and occasionally get a mouse or two which we release into the woods but I've never had a problem with any mice actually getting into my cages. For a more natural approach, mice HATE the smell of peppermint, try sprinkling some peppermint leaves in the places most likely to be inhabited by the mice to try and drive them out. Also, be sure to clean up any bird food as scrupulously as you can, the more food that's lying around, the more the mice will be attracted to setting up shop in your home. It may be a pain to eradicate them but try to do whatever you can to get them out, mice can attack birds and carry disease and parasites so you really don't want to have them around your fids. Good luck, I hope you find some kind of a solution :)
