Long-time lurker finally joining the party

Hello!

After lurking this forum on-and-off for a whopping two years now, enjoying all the lovely pictures in my spare time and using the search bar as a resource to answer all my questions, I'm just now registering to be a part of the fun. After about one long, sadly birdless year after my beloved lovebird passed away, I've welcomed another parrot into my life and I finally have an excuse to hang out with the cool kids again!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and I have one particular question of my own that research alone has not been able to answer to my satisfaction, so I'm excited to see what you all will have to say!

The new girl is Rosie, a Crimson-bellied conure. After years of adopting and fostering rescue birds of varying ages, I wanted to indulge a bit and get a baby from a local breeder to be all mine. I've only had her for a week now and we are already best buds.

I plan on sharing some pictures as soon as I can get some good ones, I believe I may need to upgrade my phone for that as they have slowly degraded to be extremely grainy. I do however have one of the foster tiels as my icon and one of my many aviary finches posted here: Roy

Take a pic with the phone. I have an old phone and the pics are probably grainy but they work.
