Oh my goodness! I am STILL waiting to hear from my breeder that his yellow sided GGC have hatched! This wait is killing me! And I'm going to have to wait another 8 weeks at least after they hatch! I don't think I'm going to survive this with my sanity intact! LOL

You'll survive!!!! The wait would be worth it! :)

So I've discovered the reason for the longest incubation ever.... There will be no babies :( I finally contacted the breeder and he said he had 'lost' the hen so the eggs would not be hatched. I was a little worried about why the hen died- he did not say why. So I have actually found another breeder in my area who is expecting his yellow sided GCC to be hatching this week. He was super helpful and said he would send photos through when they hatched, was more than happy for my kids and I to visit while he is weaning the chicks and will be DNA sexing for me and will be using my preferred brand of pellets! So happy I have found him and have my fingers crossed that all will be well this time! We are SOOO ready. Have our new big cage, I've made toys and I made a cage cover today. So now all we need is the baby! :)

I am a firm believer things happen for a reason.

sounds to me you found a much better breeder!

just remember good things come to those who wait.;)

My wait is over (well, almost!). I received this photo from my new breeder today! His yellow sided GCC are hatching! Yay!!! :D
In a couple of weeks I will go and visit! Then we will just wait for the DNA results so we get a male.
I'm so excited to finally see this precious little featherless ball! :jumping40

You know some people think they look like little aliens, I find them to be super adorable when they're babies!!! I love watching them grow up and watch them take their first flight and play with them. It's weaning time that I really don't like....lol....

LOL. My comment to the breeder when he sent the photo was, "aww, it's so ugly it's cute!" I agree that they look like little aliens- it's amazing how beautiful the become in just a few weeks! :D
