Wade, don't give up. Keep looking for dusty. Use the Tips. Drive around stopping every little bit ad whistle tequila, you might hear dusty returning the tune. List in local paper. I know your heart broken, but chin up mate. AL and Salty.
Oh gosh I just saw this and my heart sunk, as I have followed your story from the beginning. Don't blame yourself, things happen . Good suggestions above. I am really hoping for you and Dusty to be reunited. Don't lose hope, I think the fact that he is bonded to you (a human) gives a much higher chance of recovery. I always hear of tame birds seeking out a person for help. I wish you all the best.
Went out calling for him last night and tonight, still nothing. I got called in to work this morning so I could do an early call today but tomorrow morning I will.
I don't mean to be negative about it, but sheeze... if you saw that little bird going up and away so fast, knowing he had never been in the sky before... Unless he was part pigeon there was just no way he was going to remember where home was or be able to spot it from above. I still wish he will come home but I feel like it would be some kind of miracle.
Dear Wade... I think I feel just a little of your pain. No matter WHAT happens, your brave postings have given us all reason to
