I didn't read all the replies or watch the video, but Noodles will do weird stuff with people she likes if she doesn't see them that often...almost like a test with her (I swear). Because if you fail more than 2x (by reacting) she will continue to do it, almost like she's on a power trip over it...but if you handle it with a cool head and act like you don't really care, she might try it one more time before accepting that you are no fun lol (but still wanting to be with you). If you watch cockatoos in the wild, they frequently do rude things to themselves and other animals just to be jack*sses lol. Like a kid putting a kick me sign on someone's back, or tripping a friend for fun. I'm sure there is some deep-seated reason, but they just like to test people and animals out, I swear. Anything to get a reaction..Noodles LOVES it when people flinch around her and she rides that wave..She only does these "tests" if people spend more than 2 days at the house. She also only seems to do this weird behavioral pattern with people she likes, and if their stay is less than 2 days, she is sweet for the most part, but then she's like, "Oh, joining the flock eh? Let's see if you are one of us, or a weakling."
DISCLAIMER--THIS IS A WILD COCKATOO HARASSING A HOUSE CAT (NOT 2 PETS HANGING OUT). HOPING IT'S NOT A VIOLATION, as it illustrates exactly what I am describing with people.
Don't trust cats around birds...again, this was a wild bird that approached this cat on its porch. No one really gets attacked, but the cockatoo is a sassy brat lol- if the cat had scratched the bird, it could have died from the bacteria under their claws (but it didn't).
