Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.

Still can't figure this out..BB readily goes to his Uncle David, will fly to him,sit on his fingers, even twittles to him, then he'll go to the shoulder and sit there, sometimes attacking Davids ear..at times David can even skritch BB's head, then BB goes nuts on him..a game? I dunno..

Not a google member, so unable to see the photo!

Shoulders are odd places for some Parrots and it is not unusual for odd things to happen in areas you cannot see. A movement of one's ear or any number of other things can set-off a Parrot, especially one that has selected that location as their own.

Best to keep BB's off the shoulder until he earns the right to return...

Yup, saw the YouTube when I clicked on it. The Google Membership box popped-up and I could not get around it... I have NO love for google as they have the most roaming Bots and Spiders of any of the platforms out there.

Hope that BB changes his behavior as your brother sounds like a perfect perching area for the BBs.

I 2 was asked to login to google.
After I did I got a message
Oops somthing went wrong.

Nope! The way you posted it, it requires an account! Which brought up an interesting trace I didn’t realize was there! I tried using my super secret browser! Google nicely asked me which account I wanted to use! Listing them all! &%!%

Thanks David! I'm computer illiterate!

Just go to Youtube.com and enter the video # UCH5sV2QvPg in the search box.

Poor Uncle Dave!

Thanks as well David, and Wrench!

Well, Clearly, BB's was not into your Brothers finger entering his realm and BB's was busy running off the offender! Have your brother only offer goodies when BB's and he are face to face... As BB's develops a greater comfort to those offending fingers with goodies showing-up in the full left to right view range of the Human, one can start providing in blind spots. NOTE: Have your brother provide a verbal notice of a goody being offered!!!

It's weird 'Boats...BB will fly to David, sit on his fingers and chirp/whistle to him and let David "sometimes" give him skritches..Even on Davids shoulder BB will twittle and allow skritches, then it's like he has had enough and starts being a putz..its clear to me at least he likes his Uncle, afterall he readily goes to him, doesn't growl when on his hand, only when on his shoulder.

Remember, you're brother's fingers entered BB's realm and one never knows when that will be met with pain or life being good! Hence the reason for the vocal announcement...

Vikings have long sent the females into the neighboring village to determine if they where at war that day or not! If the ladies where not killed, it was okay to enter. Thus the beginning of opening the door and letting the lady go in first! True Story, it helps to know what the foundation of a practice is based upon! :D

I didn't read all the replies or watch the video, but Noodles will do weird stuff with people she likes if she doesn't see them that often...almost like a test with her (I swear). Because if you fail more than 2x (by reacting) she will continue to do it, almost like she's on a power trip over it...but if you handle it with a cool head and act like you don't really care, she might try it one more time before accepting that you are no fun lol (but still wanting to be with you). If you watch cockatoos in the wild, they frequently do rude things to themselves and other animals just to be jack*sses lol. Like a kid putting a kick me sign on someone's back, or tripping a friend for fun. I'm sure there is some deep-seated reason, but they just like to test people and animals out, I swear. Anything to get a reaction..Noodles LOVES it when people flinch around her and she rides that wave..She only does these "tests" if people spend more than 2 days at the house. She also only seems to do this weird behavioral pattern with people she likes, and if their stay is less than 2 days, she is sweet for the most part, but then she's like, "Oh, joining the flock eh? Let's see if you are one of us, or a weakling."

DISCLAIMER--THIS IS A WILD COCKATOO HARASSING A HOUSE CAT (NOT 2 PETS HANGING OUT). HOPING IT'S NOT A VIOLATION, as it illustrates exactly what I am describing with people.
Don't trust cats around birds...again, this was a wild bird that approached this cat on its porch. No one really gets attacked, but the cockatoo is a sassy brat lol- if the cat had scratched the bird, it could have died from the bacteria under their claws (but it didn't).

Thank you David and Wrench for fixing the video. I saw the same thing as Boats, fingers entering the zone seemed the catalyst for the attack. Maybe just let him leave his shoulder on his own or use 'step off' to perch without fingers.
