Hi im rita i have an unbrella cockatoo i call sweetie and yes she is a velcro bird but i love her when shes funny its funny when shes in a bad mood look out which isnt very often would love to find another unbrella just for sweetie i think she may have been with others of her kind when i got her she was a rescue we dont mind weve come a long way with her and still inproving her plucking habits i want to get her on a pellet diet but i need help on this any suggestions

My son just got a U2 and we are thoroughly enjoying her. She is much more playful than our Ekkie. We also are working on getting her on a pellet diet as she is 5 years old and always been on seeds only. She refuses any fruits or veggies we offer also. She also wasnt ever taught to step up, so we have a ways to go .

i am having a time getting sweetie to eat vegies also she was thrown in a chicken pen in tenn. we found out after i got her her owners couldnt stand her screaming she dosnt scream much here i let her out of her cage twice a day and interact with her all day long i felel so heart broken over the way she has been treated her life is great now and we love her sweet disposition we are planning on rescuing another u2 if we can find one in need sweetie will step up laugh dance and loves to shower with me i guess we needed each other lol
