I was at the local bird store yesterday and was disappointed that they didn't have any lovebirds. When I asked the owner about it, she said that they could never get just one and that they were difficult to keep sweet. I know lovebirds need to be handled often, but this just seems tragic! I think they make excellent companions. As for having more than one for a customer to choose from, well, I should hope so! The bird has to be compatible with the person! I see it as more of a match-making situation.
I asked her to let me know if they happen to get any in. I may end up with a third lovebird and have my life completely taken over by birds. XD
I've had parakeets, conures, cockatiels, and lovebirds, and the lovebirds have really stolen my heart! They're fantastic and amazing, just right in so many ways. (I have two peach-faced lovebirds right now.)
