I was making bird toys earlier and had 3 "assistants." All of the conure variety. Anything that is done... except housework... the conures think they need to help.

Does anybody else deal with this? What is the best way to stop it other than closing them up?

The only way to keep mine out of whatever it is I’m trying to do....is to feed them, or put them in their cage. Mine even help with housework lol. I usually only worry about it if it’s something that could hurt them - otherwise, I just work with conures hanging from various parts of my clothing or mucking in whatever I’m trying to tidy :)

If you find a way, please let me know :)

Several conures hanging from your body!?! So I have this BCC that is always on me. Frankly I find it annoying. What I find even more annoying are these little pinching love bites. I have adjusted to having to remove my bra and jewelry and clothes that I don’t want ruined. No buttons or zippers. But I thought if I got Pampa a friend they would peacefully sit on thier playstand happily preening each other rather then me. Now you are telling me that I will have a second conure preening ME?

Ah ha ha, lol. I just have “parrot clothes” and “regular clothes”. Parrot clothes go on when I get home, and then the fiends come out. Mine are flighted so they pretty much go where they want (supervised) and “help” with whatever interests them (which is mostly everything). My cockatiel is the only one who sits still on a perch and preens for any length of time. Social and curious is what they do :)

No conures here, but Bumble hangs from my shirt most of the time when she’s out. I love that she wants to be with me!
