Its apparently difficult to sex lutino parrotlets visually. It's a sex linked recessive trait so many more females are lutino than males.

If the mother was not a lutino your lutino chick is a female regardless of what the father was.

If the mother was lutino and the father did not carry the lutino gene at all none of the chicks would be lutino.

If the mother was a lutino, and the father was normal carrying the lutino gene, the lutino chick could be male or female but some nestmates will look normal. If the father was also lutino, all chicks would be lutino.

I do not know about the parents. I am not sure that my breeder would remember.

Most breeders keep those kinds of records and they'd probably recall if the mother was lutino. I'd call them if I were you.

Sexing lutinos is difficult but not impossible. Under the wings where any other male would have blue feathers, a lutino will have white. There's an excellent set of photos on a facebook group I'm in, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to link that here.

I think that's mostly true about the blue feathers in male Lutinos but the key is "mostly". Not 100% reliable.
