Hello jekeshkumaroad, welcome to the Forums to you and your pretty birdie!

Do you know the approximate age of your ringneck? I think it may still be too early to tell male from female for sure. The prominent ring that would denote a male in general doesn't really start to develop until they're around 18 months of age. Both male and female juveniles have a "shadow" ring such as is seen here. Other physical clues include the female having a stockier build than a male, or the male having a longer tail than a female, but this may be difficult to judge if you don't have a mature bird to compare yours too. At this age the most accurate way to tell is by a blood test by an avian vet, or there are some companies that do it by mail.
