Mango prefers to be out of her cage, and as I've been on vacation this past week, she has gotten a lot of out of cage time.

This morning, as eager as she was to get out, I had to take my daughter to the dentist. My oldest daughter was home but she isn't comfortable with Mango yet so I only let her out when I can be home to supervise.

Well when I got home from the dentist, she told me that Daddy must have let Mango out before he left for work and she was still out! To top it off, her cage was shut! Of course I immediately blamed my husband for number one leaving our daughter home alone with Mango out of her cage and for not leaving the cage door open so she could get back in!

Soooo..I spoke with him and he said he didn't let her out! Hmmm....after further investigation I noticed the breeder door on the cage was open! At first I thought maybe I left it open when I was moving some things around the day before, but we caught her in the act later today. So now they are temporarily tied shut with pipe cleaners! She's becoming quite the little stinker lol.

lol that happened here before too.
I responded by buying a heavy duty cage, now let him try.
Recently i found out that kiva spends a few hours a day trying to break out...
Good luck with keeping mango in ,once thy get a taste they will try again.

haha! That's one of the quirky traits I loved about Avery when I first saw her. She was desperately trying to get into the other enclosure of the giant (in comparison to her) peach fronted conure, and almost succeeded until I thwarted her plan by notifying the staff she had almost unlatched the plexi-glass barrier. I bet Mango would be great at the really difficult foraging toys!
