now that i've had nut for a few months, and we are over the worse, i have noticed she has much more then just body language!
though i do not understand alot of them still, i was wondering if ppl can post there birds body movements and there meanings
nut no longer has exagerated body language, unless i am across the room and she is calling me over to give her a head rub!!:54: its really cute exagerated bow, with her wings slightly open, possibly with a little whistle, see how well she has trained me?? :30: but most of it now very subtle, mainly facial!
example, if her head feathers and cheek feathers are flat, cheek feathers pointing up, eyes round, pupils wide, body feathers flattish/slick looking, body tilted, she is in play mode :21: which generally means she is gonna get up to no good! her head will extend slightly to her intended target, toes, new toy, creepy crawlies!!!:11: hole in the wall she recently made etc
but if her eyes have a slight squint and not perfectly round, means something has miffed her
the expression i love is when her head feathers are fluffed up, but cheek feathers are flat, body feathers fluffed up, eyes wide and round makes her look comical, and like a cockatoo, but no idea what this means lol but she normally does this when looking at someone, she will sometime accept a head rub when she looks like this and other times just walk away??
i am currently trying to get as many photos of these more subtle expressions as i can, but most do not last for long and i've only got an old camera phone lol
