Meet Buzz

[Peta]

Well, today we have been looking at a Male Red Rump, and he was just too cute, couldn't help myself, he came home with us. He has been quantined for a week from the other birds, my vet (yep they use my vet) has done a check up on him, so after speaking to him and getting all the assurances from him Buzz (the red rump) came home with us.

Here is Buzz

As he is fit and healthy and so is Flynnie, he is living in the same room as Flynnie (opposite ends) they are talking away with each other and for the first time Flynnie looks and sounds very interested in him. Can't wait for them to meet. Isn't he just a pretty boy.

We also found some Rosie Bourkes there as well, so we will be getting Harley a friend later on, after my vet has checked them out and given them a clean bill of health.

Yay for Flynnie and Buzz, about time!!! Congrats on your new addition, i'm sure they're gonna love eachother!!

Yeah its becoming like a birdy zoo here again. I love it.

A little while ago, it was so funny Flynnie was her end of the room and Buzz his end, and they are having this war of chirps, Buzz gave as good as he got, and Flynnie is just sitting there looking at him and not quite believing that this new fella had the nerve to answer her back.

They also had a couple Ekkies there today, Male and Female, They were amazing Andi fell in love with them and their feathers, he was awestruck at just how beautiful they are.

*Peta rubs her hands in glee*

I'm not sure about Flynnie, but we are all so smitten with him, he is a real character. He's been sitting upstairs now talking away to Bucc and Kito who he can hear they are talking back to him, and there's poor Flynnie trying to get his attention. He's really gonna be so good for her. When he's settled in a bit more (if thats possible, he already looks to be pretty settled) I'll get some more pics, He has got some amazing colours on his chest and wings.

He's so laid back that I'll try to get some of him tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

Karen, think I must have been. He does love the fids we have but is always saying no more, so when he says something like that about a fid, I'm surely onto a winner. I'm not gonna be talking him out of it anytime soon.

Thanks Minzer, he's a real clown but has seemed to settle down really well.

Thanks Tex, yeah she certainly seems excited about having a new friend to play with. As long as they only stay friends that will be okay, don't want them falling in love and having babies.

too cute I'm soo happy you found one I can't wait for Harley to get a new friend as well. OH have you found your sennie yet?

Weeeeeell they did in fact have 2 Sennies there, that I spent some time with, they were beautiful but have decided that before a Sennie, Harley needs a friend. Luke would like a Rosy Bourke this time so we are now on the lookout for a Rosy.

I have put Flynnie and Buzz in the same cage and boy I thought Flynnie would at least try to start on him, but so far nothing, They are getting on great, I've given them the "NO BABIES" talk, and all I got for my effort was Flynnie blowing a raspberry at me.

He is still not very comfortable with me sticking the camera in the cage, but I did manage to snap this one through the side door.



You can just see all the wonderful colors he has on him, what you can't see very well is the really beautiful blue he has on his wings, it is the deepest blue but very vivid, Once he calms down, after his move in with Flynnie I'll try again to get some more.
