So this is Caliente but we just call her Cali. She is now 16 weeks and a female half moon conure (Orange fronted conure?). We have had her for about 6 weeks and are currently still getting to know each other. We are working on getting better at coming out of our cage and learning that not everything is out to eat us but she is such a sweet baby and I know with very little work she will settle right in. 🥰
I am extra excited today because I finally was able to order her larger cage and some new toys which will be here tomorrow so I can’t wait to share 🥳

Super cute new addition!!

Here's a great link on bonding with new birds...

Tips for Bonding and Building Trust

Thank you for the link! She will definitely require more patience than my last conure. The people who used to own Cali would grab her whole body to get her out of the cage so she’s not a fan of hands in the cage to say the least but she is slowly realizing hands aren’t all bad and now hands=company so she’s getting better with it 🥰.

Oh, what a darling!!!!!! I love her expression... she seems to e to be saying something like "Well, of COURSE you adore me!"---
I hope you have a wonderful life together, just like the Rickeybird and I have (are having). I'm very glad you found this Community. I only wish *I* had had this sort of advice ad support when I first got my conure!!!!!
