He arrived Sunday and has quickly charmed his way into my heart! He is seriously the cutest, sweetest little thing.

He's super outgoing and friendly and has an obsession with my cell phone, glasses and my hair.

Here's his cage setup:

Congratulations! Juniper is beautiful! A spangle mutation :) I love the back feather pattern.

I've seen that cage before at the store, and I'd really like it for Twigs. I'd be interested if they had it in black. I wonder how easy it will be to clean and wipe inside with the small door?

How sweet! A hand-tamed budgie is unusual to see, let alone just a few days of getting home. What a special bird Juniper is!

Juniper is SUCH a handsome little fellow! I really love his colors!!!

LOVE his cage too- are you going to get him a buddy, or is that mansion all his?? ;) :p

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure if the cage comes in black...can't do dark colored cages myself with so many dusty birds! I'll let you know how the cleaning is. :\

I know, I'm surprised at how tame he is! I knew he was hand-fed, but I still expected him to take a lot more time to get to trust me. He took to me immediately. :smile015:

We shall see...I'd like to bond with him first ideally, then maybe I'll get him a buddy sometime down the line if he seems lonely and the tiels won't accept him as part of their flock.

Where did you get him? Is he English or half English? His head/eyes sort of have that look.
He's a beautiful little guy no matter what. Nice that he's a hand fed.

Congrats, he's beautiful, and has the sweetest little face. Love the cage and the way you have it set up.

Wow, he is BEAUTIFUL! I've only seen a few English Budgies, and that little beard he has going on is too adorable. And I love his pretty black-lined wings.

I can't wait until he grows up and gets his big poofy "crown" of head feathers! English budgies are pretty much the cutest things ever. :D

Juniper is gorgeous, and what a lucky boy to have that huge cage to go home to:) I think he is one of the prettiest budgies I have ever seen.

Interesting, I didn't know they started out looking like Juniper then got the more pronounced "English" look later. I'll have to check out the link from where yiu got him!

Yeah, the English look does mostly develop later, though you can still tell the difference in babies. This site has some before and after photos: How Old Is Your Budgie? - ************* Cute Little Birdies Aviary
