OR the progress I have made in understanding his specific body language.

Merlin does a few things that make his desires known.
He unusually does this in the corner of his cage that is closest to his people.
In corner screams and when I look at him he does this wing lift (strait up half way). This means he wants me to give him a mist bath.
In corner and when I glance at him he does this little wing flutter. This means he want's to come out.
In corner staring at human (in a way I cant describe) means he wants what you are eating.

But he started something new, something he learned from Bingo.
To explain I have to explain Bingo.
Bingo's out of cage time normally starts with me just opining his door.
He can choose to goof around on his cage or sit with me.
Most of the time he opts for staying on the cage.
Now when out of the cage I sit in a recliner a long arm's reach away.
If he decides he want's to sit with me he climbs down the open door and halfway down he starts waving one foot around.
I reach over and let him grab on and he comes over to me.

Well Merlin is now doing this.
When climbing on Bingo's cage.
if he wants me to pick him up and hold him he kind of leans towards me and if I extend my hand he will step up.
