Metal Plant Hanger Turned Perch?

Hey all I know some metals are toxic but I found this at a flea market and it looked like a perfect play stand! How do I figure out if it?s a safe metal?? Or is this a stupid new parront idea??

Best guess is that this is a cheap steel tubing construct, painted black. I would not use for a parrot. You can make a hellfire good play stand with PVC pipe and some imagination.

But how about wrapping with vet tape a few times? This way you could keep an eye on the chewing too.

Either steel tube or rod and painted.

The vet /sport wrap is a great idea.

The metal is safe, only concern is if it rusts and your Parrot chews on it, which could result in high levels of iron. Keep it wrapped and have fun.
