Last month my Serema hen, Etta hatched out four babies. The last to hatch turned out to be a frizzled micro. Here s/he is with he/r brother. They are both five weeks old. He's already crowing. I haven't spent enough time with them yet to come up with names.

Gotham is way cute. I know nothing about chickens, is he likely to be healthy and live a full life? What leads to this, is it a genetic mutation, or a problem with the egg? Nutritional issue?

It's not letting me edit my post, not sure why it auto correct "oh that is" to "Gotham"

It is genetic. They tend not to live as long and can have problems. Where I live they also need heat during the winter or to be brought inside.

Awww, both chicks are adorable! I hope the little guy is healthy enough to overcome his genetic challenges, he's awfully cute with those frizzy feathers. I know Gotham was an accident on Dani's part, but I like it!
