Mites?

Hi,
My green cheek conure's beak looks a bit peely - does that mean he has mites? It's not terrible, it's similar the picture I attached.

Not to me, either. Mites generally attack the soft tissue of their ceres, nares, eyes, and feet. Not beaks.
